“We cook for you the way we cook for our loved ones.”

Josh, the chef behind Kinship Catering

For us, cooking has always been an expression of care. One way we do that is through quality, and it starts with good organic ingredients. You cannot cook your way to a great tomato. It has to be grown that way.

And secondly, we just genuinely want you and your guests to have an amazing wedding day. You may notice it through the extra steps we take to make things easier for you. Or a few flowers placed just right on the buffet table. Or perhaps you notice your guests just enjoy being served by us. We collect a team of helpers who are very enjoyable to be around.

Mobile kitchen

Is your wedding venue just a field? We can cater for you there too.

Our fully equipped mobile kitchen means your venue doesn’t need a kitchen, or power, or running water. Private property, farms, barns, mountain fields and remote venues. We bring what’s needed and cook on site.

We’re set up for large events too, from an intimate dinner to several hundred guests.

In her own words

“Many, many people came up to us and told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding.”

How it works

From first call to the last dish washed

1

We talk

A short call about your date, your venue and what you’re imagining.

2

We quote

A clear proposal with a menu direction and a real number, no guesswork.

3

We plan

We refine the menu with you and coordinate directly with your planner and venue.

4

You get married

We arrive, set up, and take care of the room so you don’t have to think about it.

5

We do the dishes

We break down, clean up and leave the place as we found it.

Rooted in community

Every celebration we cater nurtures more connection beyond the event itself.

We own twenty acres on Flat Creek in Weaverville, where we’re building a multigenerational community and a regenerative farming project. A place where people can live, grow and gather together. The vision includes a working farm that will one day provide ingredients for the very celebrations that inspire it.

Some of the proceeds from every wedding we cater go directly toward making that real.
